FILMFARE OR FILM(UN)FARE AWARDS

     First of all congratulations to the team of 'My Name is Khan' on winning 3 most popular viewers choice awards at the most glamorous event of Bollywood. 

     Yesterday 56th Idea Filfare Awards were distributed at Yashraj sudio, Andheri, Mumbai. And (unfortunately) Shah Rukh Khan won Best Actor's award for MNIK. The film also grabbed other 2 awards, Best Actress & Best Director.

     But I think Shah Rukh was not a deserving candidate for such an award. I am not doubting about his acting talent. He's one of the great actors our country has ever produced. I still admire his outstanding & fantabulous performances in Chak de, Swades, Devdas, etc. & he received Filmfare for these films. But this time KUCH SAHI NAHI HUA.There is some problem.

     This year we saw some great performance by Hrithik, Salman, Ajay & Omkar Das Manikpuri in Guzaarish, Dabangg, OUTIM & Peepli Live respectively. I don't understand why Akshay Kumar's name included in Best Actor's nominee name? Omkar Das should have got place in the list instead of him.

     This year's much awaited film was Salman's DABANGG. Everyone knows Salman is Dabangg & Dabangg is Salman. & Chulbul Pande also pleased his audience.Salman certainly justified his role.

     Same case is with Hrithik's Ethan in Guzaarish. He also fulfilled all expectations of his crowd. But it wasn't good moment for both of them. But I would have loved to see either Hrithik or Salman lifting Black Lady.

     I think these days performance has become least criteria for selecting best out of rest.But afterall viewers like us remember performance and winner. SRK don't run behind awards atleast entertain audience with quality movies. NAHI TO AAPKA BAND BAJ JAAYEGA. 

Yeh public sab jaanti hai kyunki..............

A short term loss or long term GAIN ??????????????

Alas !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our Superhit tennis duo Lee-Hesh popularly known as 'Indian Express' failed to stop Bryan brothers from lifting the prestigious Australian Open trophy.

Both Tennis heroes who re-united after nine years in year's first grand slam tournament to complete their career grand slam, were little unlucky this time. Their great efforts and fantastic play could not help to add another trophy in their collection. Both started the season as well as new year with win at Chennai open. Austarlian open was not only their dream but every Indian tennis lover was also praying for their win.

The pair played their last professional doubles tournament in 2002 before they decided to play with different partners due to some JHAGDAA in-between them. But they continued to represent nation together in Davis Cup, Asian Tournaments, etc.

This year Leander & Mahesh were playing their 16th  & 14th Austalian open respectively. And this would have their last Grand slam tournament as a pair if they had won.

LEKIN UPARWALE KO BHI YE MANJUR NAHI THA. He might wanted them to continue play together atleast till next Aus open.

Yes, this is a loss but as a pair they achieved a lot. Next year they can come out with extraordinary play & win the title. But what really pleased tennis fans is that Mahesh has shown interest in playing together with Paes henceforth.I think Mahesh wanted to say YE DOSTI HUM NAHI TODENGE........
Lee should accept his offer & atleast continue their professional partnership throughout their career.Blessings of entire nation are with them.   

I wish India's second most loved sports persons (no need to tell who's the First ) Best luck for their tennis career and hope their dosti will continue like JAY- VEERU's..........

Jai ho... Pathan !!!!!!!!!!

And finally we lost the match against proteas. Our much favourite BABBAR SHERs like Dhoni, Yuvi, Raina, etc. could not live up to the expectations of Indian cricket fans. But after watching great knock by Yusuf Pathan, only i can say is...... UN-BELIEVE-ABLE.

Yusuf won millions of Indian hearts. He came at a stage when South Africa's win was nearly fixed. Many viewers had switched off their TV screens, people like us who get excited even after watching score on cricinfo.com, had closed the site window. But Pathan changed entire equations of match.The scoreboard of Indian innings was showing  74/6 when Pathan entered the field. But whatever happened from 74 -219 runs was unprecedented. 

He again proved ATTACK IS THE BEST WEAPON OF DEFENCE. His performance speaks everything, 105 runs from 70 balls with the help of 8 huge sixes with equal number of boundaries. Baroda boy delivered high performance. But 'ALWAYS' word is missing. Indians are expecting & will demand unimaginable performance from his bat ALWAYS..... atleast till ICC world cup 2011. His performance in world cup is gonna be very important as it can help Dhoni to lift World cup trophy.  

Let's pray for India's win in 'World Cup'.

Reward or Punishment ?

Generally I don't read 'Pune Mirror'.But, yesterday's Pune Mirror's headline grabbed my attention, 'Reward and Punishment'

The news was about killing of a leopard by an inspector in Karad, Sangli and quarrel between state's two departments, Home & Forest respectively on the issue whether to give reward to officer for his bravery or punishing him for killing wild animal. 'The big cat might have entered in the city in search of food and could have been saved', according to forest official. But Home ministry of Maharashtra state demands bravery award for an extraordinary performance shown by cop to save a person from leopard..
But API Vikas Dhas gave very genuine answer. He said,'I had to choose between the life of human and an animal and I chose to save human.'

Both Home and Forest ministries are being handled by R R patil and Patangrao Kadam, both belong to Sangli district. But after this incidence it seems there must be some coldwar between these two heavyweight ministers of Maharashtra.

I think, there must be ego clashes between these ministers. But I think there are many serious issues and problems in front of state. To avoid further problem this issues must be investigated deeply. And some monetary fine should be charged from Police Department (and not from Vikas Dhas alone).

This was my decision.... Guys, what do you think?....... agree with me or not.....

नमस्कार......

 मकर संक्रांतीच्या  हार्दिक शुभेच्छा...........

 

खालील कविता आपल्यासारख्या young  citizens चे विचार correct शब्दात व्यक्त करते. मला ही कविता फार आवडली.. म्हणून वाटले share करावी आपल्यासोबत..... पाहुयात आपल्या स्वतःला या कवितेशी relate  करता येते का............... 




 देवावर श्रद्धा ठेवतो मी, अंधश्रद्धेवरही बडबडतो मी,  
     पुरणपोळी चापतो मी, तंगडीदेखील तोडतो मी.

      हिंदी सिनेमे पाहतो मी, विंग्रजीसुद्धा झाडतो मी,
            'मात्रुभाषेला ' मात्र तोड नाही एवढेच फक्त मानतो मी.

             शिव्या सुद्धा देतो मी, कविता देखील करतो मी,
                   कधी कुणालाही हरवतो मी, कधी जिंकता जिंकता हरतो मी.

                    अध्यात्मावर बोलतो मी, फ्लर्टिंगसुद्धा करतो मी,
                            मी मी करतो मी, कधी सेल्फलेस देखील होतो मी.

                            प्रेम करत नाही कुणी म्हणून डिप्रेस्स सुद्धा होतो मी,
                                 स्वःतालाच समजावतो मग, "नाही रे, त्यांच्याच नशिबात नाही मी!"

                                कधी देवाशी बोलतो मी, कधी मौनाला धरतो मी,
                                      जिवलग एखादा चुकलाच तर लेक्चर सुद्धा झाडतो मी.

                                      प्रश्न सगळ्या जगाचे सोडवायला, नेहमीच असतो उत्सुक मी,
                                             स्वःताचे प्रश्न सोयीने मात्र, अनुत्तरीतच ठेवतो मी.

                                                  " आपलं आयुष्य वेगळं, आपली दुःख वेगळी!"
                                                          नेहमी स्वःताच्याच कक्षेत फिरतो मी.....

                                                              सभोवती मात्र जेव्हा, असहाय्य दीन पाहतो मी,
                                                                        ख्ररच, स्वःताला खूप भाग्यवंत समजतो मी.............


                                    I don't know who is creator of this masterpiece. but whoever has written it, must be a genius. Hats off to him.

puneri paatya...

पुणे आणि पुणेरी पाट्या यांचे नाते नवरा बायको ( आपल्या generation मधले नव्हे ) यांच्या नात्याप्रमाने अतूट आहे. आजकाल तर पुणेरी लोकांपेक्षा बाहेरचे लोकच या पाटयांमध्ये जास्त interest घेतात.

 पुणे जस शिक्षण, संस्कृती, परंपरा या गोष्टींसाठीतर पूर्वीपासून फेमस आहे. पण काही वर्षांपासून पुणे अजून एक गोष्टीसाठी ओलखले जाऊ लागले. नाव वेगले सांगायला नको. ते म्हणजे पाट्या. आमच्यासारखे nonpunekar त्याला 'पुणेरी पाट्या' अस म्हणतो. आम्हा लोकाना या पाट्या म्हणजे एक गंमत आणि पाटी लावणार्यांचा मुर्खपणा वाटतो.

मला मात्र आशा पाट्या पाहून फार मजा वाटते. कधी कधी मी सुद्धा पाटयांसाठी काही lines लिहितो. नुकताच  झालेला 'कांद्याचा वांदा' पाहून एका typical पुणेरी होटेल मध्ये लावण्यासाठी १ लाइन सुचली. ती अशी....

               'आमच्या येथे मिळणाऱ्या onion उत्तपा' मधे कांदा टाकला जातो.'

                                   किंवा

    'शहाणे लोक कांदा होटेलमधे खात नाहीत. तरी कांदा मागून आपला वेडेपणा दाखवू नये.'

     

तर हे अस आहे.. नुकताच एका पुण्यातल्या मित्राचा mail आला. विषय तोच.... पाट्या.. पुण्याविषयीच्या अत्यंत फ़ालतूतल्या फ़ालतू गोष्टीसाठी पण अभिमान बाळगणे यात त्याला फार मोठा तीर मारल्यासारखे वाटते. असो... असतात एक एक नमूने.... तर त्याच्या mail मध्ये   पुणेरी पाट्या’ संस्कृतीचे आक्रमण 'मॅकडोनाल्ड्स' वर झाले तर

हा  विषय होता. पाट्या बनवण्यामध्ये हे लोक कुठल्या level वर जाऊ शकतील त्याच हे perfect example आहे. ..वाचा....

१. आमचे येथे बाहेरील खाद्य पदार्थांस एक रुपयात सॉस लावून मिळेल.      

२.दोन माणसात तोंड पुसायचे तीन कागद मिळतील. नंतर ज्यादा आकार पडेल. 

३.टिव्ही चालू ठेवायचा किंवा नाही हा निर्णय व्यवस्थापनाचा आहे. तरी बंद टिव्हीचा आरशासारखा उपयोग करून केस वगैरे विंचरू नयेत. 

४. टिव्ही चालू असेल तरी फार पहात बसू नये. हे खाद्यगृह आहे, प्रेक्षागृह नव्हे. 

५. कृपया फ्रेंच फ्राईज मोजून घ्यावेत. नंतर तक्रार चालणार नाही.

    (लहान साईज: १९ फ्राईज, मध्यम : २७ फ्राईज, मोठा: ४६ फ्राईज) 
६. गि-हाईकांचा संतोष हेच आमचे ध्येय. (व्यवसायाच्या वेळा : ११ ते १ व ४ ते ८. तक्रारीची वेळ : ११ ते ११.०५) 
७.पहिल्या दहा मिंटात ऑर्डर मिळाली नाही तर.. पुढच्या दहा मिंटात मिळेल ! पैसे परत मिळणार नाहीत. 
८.कृपया ड्राईव थ्रू च्या खिडकीवरील मुलीशी गप्पा मारू नयेत. 
९.विनाकारण सॉस मागू नये. टमाटू फुकट येत नाहीत. 
१०.शीतपेयाच्या ग्लासच्या झाकणास भोक पडलेले नाही तर चोखनळी (स्ट्रॉ) साठी पाडलेले आहे. बदलून मिळणार नाही ह्याची नोंद घ्यावी  

११. दुस-या कंपनीच्या बरगरच्या किमती इथे सांगू नयेत. 
१२.उरलेले अन्न नेण्यास घरून डबा आणावा. कागदी वा प्लास्टिक पिशवी मिळणार नाही. 
१३."हॅपी मिल" ची खेळणी संपलेली आहेत (ही पाटी कायमची का आहे ते विचारू नये) 
१४.आमची इतरत्र शाखा आहेत, पण दुस-या शाखेच्या तक्रारी इथे सांगू नयेत 
१५.कृपया बाहेरील आमच्या जोकरच्या पुतळ्याशी फार लगट करू नये. सभ्यपणे फोटो काढावेत.शीतपेय संपल्यावर ग्लास टाकून द्यावा.   
१६.चोखनळीने विचित्र आवाज करत बसू नये. 

बर झालं की मेक्डोनाल्ड कुठल्या जोशी किंवा आपटे या सारख्या लोकांनी नाही सुरु केलं. नाही तर या पाट्या लागल्याच असत्या कोथरुड किंवा J M रोड वरच्या मेक्डोनाल्ड़ मध्ये.

First Student Parliament of India

                                            FIRST INDIAN STUDENT PARLIAMENT

What a wonderful programme it has been so far ! 

I am talking about first Indian Student Parliament organised by MAEEr's MIT, Pune with various objectives like to create awareness among students about various issues, to provide a platform to raise their voice, to focus on social, political, cultural, economic issues which require immediate action & it's probable solution, etc.

Today was the 2nd day of this unprecedented event adressed by various eminent and great personalities across the country like A P J Abdul Kalam, Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, Narayan Murthy, Ashutosh Gowarikar & many more.....

Session 1

           The todays event started with none other than India's missile man & former president Mr.(Dr.) APJ Abdul Kalam. As always, his simplicity & humbleness touched all hearts. What a personality !!!! One of the best mother India has ever produced.

             Mr. Kalam addressed all ignited young minds of  India with his knowledgeable & inspiring speech. In his address he touched various aspects like his Vision 2020, Indian political system, his experiences with youth all across the globe and many more. 

              To become successful he asked students to be unique.  

Session 2

           This session was addressed by spiritual guru Shri Shri Ravi shankar. He discussed on the topic INDIA VS BHARAT: Urban Rural Divide & It's Spiritual Contribution. Shri Shri gave some tips to students and also highlighted importance of honesty, humanity, commitment etc. He also stressed on need of moving from GDP to GDH (Gross Domestic Happiness).
His following statement got maximum appreciation from all.
He said, "learn marketing from Americans, teamwork from Japan, perfection from Germany, manners from Britain, duplication from China and humanity from India..!"

Session 3
It was the time for creating awareness among youth about our Mother Earth i.e. environment. Dr. Vandana Shiva, a noted ecologist shared her views on Threats to Environment. She threw light on various learnings from nature such as live for others, enjoy the life with less exploitation, etc.

Session 4:
It was a post lunch session on topic Youth Participation In Democracy. Various young leaders shared their views. Participants were Mr. Abhijeet Panse, Maharashtra president, BVP, Mr. Chand Babu Rehman, Mr. Jitendra Awhad, MLA, NCP.

Session 5:
This was todays second most awaited session adressed by none other than Mr. N R Narayan Murthy. He talked about Information Technology & Globalisation. He stated that increase in use of IT in democracy will    ensure transparency which will lead to further progress in accountability & improving democracy. Also he talked about difference between multinational corporations & globalised corporations.

Session 6:
This was the final session for today on topic Is Today's Media & Entertainment Far Away From Reality ?. The guest was Oscar nominated Film's director Mr. Ashutosh Gowarikar. He expressed that media is source of information as well as entertainment. Audience should accept good things and resist bad things.
Mr. Gowarikar also said, "Democracy means power & power is knowledge." Further he added, "Education should move to rural India. So power will move. & media is one of the best platform to do so."
He also revealed that he is working on Swades part II.

So this is all about Student parliament of India, day all..............

पुणे तिथे काय उणे...............

नमस्कार. सर्वांना नविन वर्षाच्या हार्दिक शुभेच्छा.आजपासून लिहायला सुरुवात करत आहे. तसा काही मला लिहायचा  जास्त अनुभव आणि सवय नाही तरीपण एक प्रयत्न म्हणून लिहायला सुरुवात करतोय.पाहुया, जमते का !!!!!

एकविसाव्या शतकाच्या दुसर्या  दशकात आपण प्रवेश केला. माझ्यासाठी २०१० हे वर्ष समाधानाच गेलं. आशा  करतो  की आपणा सर्वांना नविन वर्ष उत्कार्शाचे, उल्हासाचे, मंगलमय, तेजोमय जावो. आणि माझ्या ऑनलाइन लिखाणाला सुरुवात करतो.

                                           !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!गणपती बाप्पा मोरया !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     

मला पुण्यात येउन आता दिड वर्ष होत आल, आणि आजपर्यंत न अनुभवास आलेल्या typical पुणेरी वृत्तीचा नुकताच अनुभव आला. ठिकाण काई सांगायला नको तरी सांगतो, प जोग क्लासेस, सदाशिव पेठ.

माझ्या लहान भावास १० वी च्या vacation क्लास साठी जोग क्लास मध्ये  admission घेण्यास मी तिकडे गेलो. class बंद होता. तिकडे १ माणसाला विचारले तर त्याने बाजुच्या बिल्डिंग मधे विचारायला सांगितले. बाजुच्या बिल्डिंग मध्ये १ बाई होत्या. त्यांच्याशी झालेला conversation खाली देत आहे.

मी : हे जोग क्लास आज बंद आहे का ?

बाई : त्यांच दुकान नेहमीच बंद असत आजकाल (क्लास ला दुकान म्हानन्याचा पुणेरी शाहानपना, असो !!! )

मी: कुठे  दुसरीकडे shift केलय का क्लासच location ?

बाई: आम्हाला त्यांनी काही संगितल नाही shift करताना !!!!! 

मी: पण तुम्हाला माहित आहे का त्यांची दूसरी branch कुठे आहे ते? 

बाई: तेवढेच काम राहिले आहे मला आता. रोज १०-१२ तुमच्यासारखे लोक येउन हाच प्रश्न विचारतात. आता तर मला बाहर १  पाटी लावावी लागेल की ' येथे पी जोग क्लास च पत्ता सांगितला जात नाही'     .

मी: माफ़ करा madam , विसरलो होतो मी की ही सदाशिव पेठ आहे.

आणि मी निघालो.  

तर अस आहे पुणे.... कमी शब्दात लोकांचा जास्तीत जास्त अपमान करण्यासाठी सदाशिव पेठ मधील लोकांना special award द्यायला हवे.  
(टिप: सर्व पुणेकरांनी वाईट वाटुन घेऊ नये. कधी कधी अपमान सहन करायची पण हिम्मत असावी माणसात. )

म्हणून पुण्याच्या बाहेरील लोकांनी पुण्यात रहायला येताना जरा विचार केलेलाच बरा...
